They got the ridgeline cam back up and running will be able to see Kachina Peak lift construction on there and the lone star cam you can see the top form for the return http://www.skitaos.org/webcams

Now they added controls to move the camera manually and zoom works great if the wind isn't blowing too much.

well if needed for more capacity then I suppose that is a valid reason. Any word on what is going to happen to the old lift? Scrapped?

Breckenridge had a photo on their Facebook page today showing them taking down old Colorado SuperChair tower heads and helicoptering them over to a spot just uphill from the bottom of the Independence SuperChair. That seems to be a staging area for lift construction, since I believe they staged tower tubes and lifting frames for the Kensho SuperChair and Zendo there when they were building those lifts last season.

That's where their mountain road goes; easier to drive there to finish taking it all apart. The terminals are already there being disassembled.

Leitner Poma's six pack in The Remarkables, New Zealand is almost finished and has the Omega chairs, not the LPA6-OC that were used on the Kensho Superchair. It also has in terminal chair parking. (https://www.facebook...152474575988936)

I thought Sky Trac used concrete for the return pedestals. First on I seen out of steel from these guys. Are they reusing foundations or something?

I think they reused the old foundation, here is another pic from Facebook showing the foundation

Looks like they did reuse the old footer. For those not familiar with that station, the original installation required that the peak be notched to accomodate the unload area (you can see it in both photos). There isn't really any room to modify anything, and the ridgeline is the boundary line for Mount Rainier National Park as well. I did hear that Crystal had contracted out a UT inspection on the base bolts for the old towers, so it stands to reason they did the top terminal as well.

Hopefully they get to keep their bullwheel silver. They cried about ours so we have to paint it some ugly chestnut brown color to blend in. So stupid it will never blend in just going to make it look like crap. I recommended forest green for the Motor room and now I hear it's going to be chestnut brown as well to match the top. It's going to be an awesome lift wish we didn't have to paint ugly colors on their to try to please everyone. I can't get over this they're going to ruin a great look.

What is this "ugly chestnut brown color"?

I assume it might be the color seen in this repainting of Quicksilver Super6 that was done last year, or the repainting of towers on almost all of the Breckenridge Riblets (as of April, only Lift E still had silver towers) but I can't find a color pallete to confirm this:

I think it's about that color people want it to blend in not too shiny. Wish public or forest service didn't get caught up in the little details. Such as colors it's not like it's some neon color or something silver would look sweet up top and a dark green would look good on the motor room. But there is interference from people that don't know any better or just don't want us to have anything nice. The back of this bird is what I think they're going for.Attached File  chestnut.JPG (16.36K)

And yet Snowbird can do bright blue terminals you can see from the valley...not that I'm complaining.

Me too and it would go more with the theme of everything painted around here. Except lift 3 has yellow towers but hope to change that this year when tower painters come. Our Stadeli lifts have bright orange bullwheels.
