Below is an updated list. This might be the first year since the Doppelmayr-CTEC merger in 2002 that someone else builds more lifts.

Not sure if there is any interest in this lift project since it is in New Zealand... but new LP sixer at The Remarkables is now under construction.. looks to be close to wrapping up construction....

Breaking news! I just was on Hidden Valley's (Missouri) website to check if there was any snow left visible on the webcams, and there is some in the tubing park that should make it to May (probably a first).

Anyway, they just announced 50 minutes ago that they are adding a Riblet double or triple for a beginner lift, but are still unsure of the location. They have pictures of unloading the lift, yet I guess they couldn't figure if it's a double or triple. Also, a rope tow will be installed in the intermediate terrain park.

Check the link here: http://www.hiddenval...wlift_1415.html

This could be from Terry Peak, South Dakota. They had a 1996 Riblet beginner lift that was removed in 2005.

Good guess. I sort of forgot about that one being removed. I think they actually took a run and built houses on it.

I will try to ask if that is where it came from on HV's Facebook page, maybe they will respond.

Not sure if anybody has already posted on it, but Okemo sounds to be replacing Northstar Express with a bubbled six-pack this summer. They were up checking out our Doppelmayr Chondola today. Didn't say for sure if it will be Doppelmay or Poma. Northstar is supposed to go to Sunapee then.

What lift will Northstar replace at Sunapee?

Most likely their longest fixed grip which is the twice relocated Sunbowl Quad. That lift has also started its life at Okemo. It was originally the Solitude Quad installed in 1987. In 1994 they made Solitude an HSQ and relocated the fixed grip to the new South Face area as the South Face Quad. They replaced that with an HSQ in 1997 and moved this lift to Sunapee in 1998.

According to the link below, the Rampart lift at the Snoqualmie is going in this summer. Sounds like a used fixed-grip.

The Donner Riblet Triple from Granite Peak will have a new home at Mount Pleasant of Edinboro PA. a small currently T-bar served ski area the area plans to replace the main T-bar with the chairlift and use components from that T-bar to fix another one that has not run for a few years.

Better alignment than old chair 3, same runs. I like it. Used fixed-grip from where?

According to their facebook page, Shawnee Peak in Maine is replacing Rabbit ('88 Borvig double) this summer. With what, I don't know at this time. Stopped by on the 23rd and the towers and return had been removed earlier that day.

Some more info came out today about the new Centennial Chondola and Colorado Superchair from Vail Resorts. (http://news.vailreso...140522_24486794) Most notably, there will be one gondola for every five chairs on the new chondola, 10 passenger gondola cabins and 6 passenger chairs.

I guess Vail Resorts was planning to renovate the Peak 9 Restaurant once the previous owners' lease expired. I haven't been in the Peak 9 Restaurant in years, having preferred to use Ten Mile Station if I'm having lunch while on Peaks 9 and 10, but I can tell it could use some TLC.

I'm surprised they don't mention the Beaver Run SuperChair getting overhauled with the Omega chairs from the Colorado SuperChair in the article.

I'm actually kinda bummed the Peak 9 restaurant will be run by the ski area. The old one was a throwback to a previous era of skiing; no-frills and affordable.

It is nice to have a place that is about good, cheap food and nothing else. It's a rarity. I don't see anything Vail run as being cheap.

If Okemo does the Northstar Express replacement, I am guessing it will be an LP. They are mostly a Poma mountain except for the Green Ridge Triple which is a Doppelmayr. The two South Face Village lifts I am guessing will not be Doppelmayr, so they will either stick with Poma/LP or go with Skytrac if they give a better deal than Poma.
