My mom and I love looking at this roadsign on US 6 every time we go to the mountains:

I think the odds that you'll encounter a hitchhiker, much less one who is an escaped convict, are very low on this stretch of highway.

Its just part of the purposeful 'dumbing down' of people in general so it will be easier to control them all as slaves- it is a task for all of us to protect idiots from themselves and their various addictions- natural selection would dictate that many would perish and that intelligence would be encouraged in the gene pool, unfortunately the pool is getting shallower and is full of mud.
As I travel around the west I wonder about the breed of human that was brave and strong enough to cross the plains and mountains to carve a life out of the wilderness...

I still think these signs will never not be funny. This is on I-70 just before the off-ramp to eastbound US 6:

In part because clearly one can't be certain if the hitchhiker by the roadside is an escaped convict. Of course, an escaped convict would be dressed in institutional apparel and that's pretty easy to spot.

Oh, yeah, I've seen those stickers before on cars parked on scenic bluffs that overlook a city skyline in the middle of the night.

So, Donald, do you lurk around scenic bluffs that overlook a city skyline in the middle of the night?

Just joking. We don't have those in SE Aurora.
We do, however, have some signs near our neighborhood that say "No unauthorized vehicles or horses."
