Pictures for you. The 13.5ft diameter 6,800 lb Skytrac bullwheel now sits at 12,481ft waiting for construction of the new triple Mainstreet lift. The sled weighed 1,800lbs for a total 8,600lb haul up 1,078 ft vertical Kachina peak. The Haul was a great success and had a little protest written in the snow.

Thanks for the photo update. Looks like it went pretty well. It looked like they had another cat at the top for a winch anchor, correct?
Also, Telluride has 12,570 feet as the top elevation of the Revelation Quad, so unless that number's wrong this would be the 4th highest chairlift. Also the Cirque Poma at Snowmass is 12,510, I think.

They used a big rock up top for the anchor then once they had a cat up there they used it to help winch the weight of the load which was also being pulled by a winch cat so they were sharing the load. I will take 4th highest chairlift since the cirque is a platter. The stats I found must have been old cause revelation lift was installed about 5 years ago right and was not on the list when I looked up this info.

Well at least that answers our question from another thread. It becomes the highest triple chair in North America.

I assume they'll air-drop the rest of the parts for the upper terminal given the location.

yes, they hauled the bull wheel up with the cats because it would have required a much larger and more expensive helicopter to pick it than what is needed for concrete and towers. I have seen some pictures on the taos chamber of commerce Facebook page, it looks like the rebar and form work materials where also hauled up.

So my question is- "How are they going to make it jump up into the return frame?"

I have the idea that the design of the return was changed on this lift to make that process much more simple

Everything else will be flown. Our bullwheel is designed to hang under the return structure instead of on top so it can be lifted into place easier

That's the Union Creek lift in the background of liftmech's photo. I'd say it's where the Woodward Terrain Park is or somewhere near it.
