While we appreciate the enthusiasm, probably researching and getting the information for lifts that aren't at resorts where we already have administrators that have total access to every single statistic and dimension of a lift (including what the part number is for the 1 on the chair number sign for chair 21)would probably be more productive research... Just saying.....

As much as I don't want to find out what the part number is for the 1 on the chair number sign for the Orient Express, I might as well mention that remontees-mecaniques.net is good for getting numbers of lift towers, and in some cases number of chairs, for a lot of lifts. However, they also have a lot of focus on sheave trains and have the composition for practically every sheave train on a chairlift.

It's nice to see the passion on here for the skilift fans/operators/builders/engineers/operators. Its a fancy thing being obsessed with a simple mechanical device that transports people up and down mountains yet the interest is anything but simple. We treat the lifts as though they are family members.

Some corrections and new information on Killington and Pico.

There is one correction on Pico. The Summit Express is a bottom drive, top tension, not a top drive, bottom tension.

Corrections on Killington.

The K1 Gondola is a top drive, bottom tension, not a top drive, top tension. The Snowshed Express is a bottom drive, top tension, not a bottom drive, bottom tension.

There has also been a new lift installed.

Name: Skye Peak Express
Type: High Speed Quad
Installed: 2008
Manufacturer: Leitner Poma
Speed: 1,000 fpm
Length: 4,964 feet
Vertical: 1,525 feet

Tensioning: At Top and Bottom Station

Towers: 25
Capacity: 2,800 pph
Notes: This was the first new lift installed at Killington in 10 years when it was built. It reuses the towers from the fixed grip Skye Peak Quad that it replaced.

Also, I don't have a whole lot of info to volunteer on lifts near me (Mostly where the drive is, what items are used, length & vertical, where tensioning is, # of towers/carriers)
But would it be possible to volunteer photos somehow? I have some of lifts near me...

I noticed someone listed this about Gore, NY. The Adirondack Express is no longer standing, and the Sunnyside Express at Alta, UT is an HST as well.
