The coil spring grip option seems to be the only remaining holdover from the CTEC merger. Other than the general layout of the towerheads, everything else is Doppelmayr these days, even for the old CTEC loyalists like Deer Valley, which has 4 Uni-GS lifts with Garaventa chairs, but installed a Uni-G with Doppelmayr EJ chairs (and coil spring grips) in 2012.

Beaver Creek is the only old CTEC customer that comes to mind that started using the Doppelmayr designs right away, starting with the Birds of Prey Express in 2003. What's the last lift to have the Uni-GS and Garaventa chairs?

Don't the fixed grip drive terminals still have some CTEC designs in them? This is the Lookout Mountain Triple at Whiteface which appears to have a Galaxy drive terminal, yet everything else is Doppelmayr. The return is also CTEC. This lift was built in summer of 2008 and opened in January 2009.

I believe both of these terminal designs have been discontinued since that lift was built. The CTEC lift shacks live on though

This is the Skyline Quad at Sugarloaf, ME. It appears to have a slightly different drive and return, although they still use similar aspects to the ones from the Whiteface, NY lift above.

That was kind of what I meant. That gondola would probably give me a lot of reminders of what it was like when I went up the Jackson Hole tram in the summer of 2010. I mean, that was a tram and this is a gondola, but still....

Sounds like it will be your typical scenic lift with a restaurant, gift shop and trails at the top. There is also a trail from the base to the top but no free ride down if you hike up.

I mentioned that A-51 and Checkerboard at Keystone both received additional modifications from Doppelmayr in the form of new lifting frames on their towers.

The photos firmly establishes A-51 as being a frankenlift as it is a Lift Engineering double chairlift, with used Riblet bail-chairs, and Doppelmayr sheaves, upper bullwheel, and lifting frames.

I am surprised they used the original Yan grips with those Riblet replacement carriers. Were the Riblet internal grips not compatible with the haul rope or was there another issue?

Those aren't Doppelmayr sheave on the towers and Joe Grumunger who came from LE designed the lifting frames.

The Sea to Sky Gondola is operating and open. They do ski touring on it which I didn't know they did. This video shows some of the trip up as well as the stations. It also confirms that the Sea to Sky Gondola is a bottom drive lift.

I hiked up the Sea to Sky gondola about a month ago, while it was still closed. I measured the vertical rise at about 845m (from 40m to 885m). Here are some pictures.
