Alpine Valley, Ohio is getting a relocated triple chairlift in addition to the quad that was previously announced. From somewhere in Utah.

Is this the old Deer Crest quad from Deer Valley?

I think it's the triple that's coming from Utah. The quad looks to be Borvig/Partek from the photos on their site. I thought they were getting the Riblet quad from Crotched but I guess not.

Hidden Valley, MO received the Riblet quad from Crotched Mtn last summer. While there are probably some extra chairs and towers sitting in storage somewhere, both terminals and about 12 towers and 55-60 chairs are installed at HV. Peak Resorts does still have the Summit Local triple to be re-installed. I'm surprised that they didn't install part of it at Alpine Valley.

This just in-- on their facebook page and probably none of it will happen in 13 but Loveland has unveilded their master plan. http://www.skilovela...masterplan.aspx Highlights include 2 new triple chairs #10 serving the steeps above lift #8, #11 Another lift on the bunny slope at the Valley and a surface lift improving access to runs on skiers right of lift #9. Other highlights: restoring #5 back to service between basin and valley, replacement of #2 by splitting the lift into two lifts, a lower and an upper and expansion of the Basin lodge. Good stuff!

I proposed to my ex-fiance on number 2... :( Glad to see 5 come back to life! They repainted her a few years ago even though she hasn't been run so I knew they still had hope for her.

Eagle Point in Utah is moving their old platter lift over to the expert area this summer. They had this on the trail map a few years ago as a future lift, currently they use a cat to get people back up to the lift. Upon further reading it sounds like this will be at the top of the mountain, not the bottom where they had the future lift on the map. They're also removing the old Holly double that hasn't run in quite a while.

Eagle Point? Where the heck is that?

Southwest Utah, east of Beaver. Was once named Elk Meadows (and I believe Mt Holly) and closed for a bit. Reopened 2010-2011 as Eagle Point.

Another Lift blog post today. Lots of pictures of a sky crane, only it didn't put a single tower head on as the pilot decided he wasn't able to do it so they left. Heads all now split in three parts waiting for a 214 tomorrow.

Some of the new lifts are getting new names...

Alyeska's new HSQ is going to be called Glacier Bowl Express.

Greek Peak's quad is called Vision Xpress...yikes

Mont Sainte Anne's HSQ is another Panorama Express. There are now 9 of them in the US and Canada!

And Eagle Point's relocated platter will be named Tushar Peaks.

Sounds like Vail is now going to build two new quads at Mt. Brighton, one to replace the Green and Blue lifts and another to replace Yellow. In addition to relocating Silver.

http://news.vailreso...ntsepicpass.htm

The Blue/Green is a new Doppelmayr, the Yellow is a recycled Quad from the Vail Family.

Not a new lift, but Breckenridge's new map with the Kensho SuperChair and Zendo lifts shows that Quicksilver Super6 is now just the Quicksilver SuperChair.

Parts have started to arrive for the new Hermitage Club (aka Haystack) lift. I figure it will probably be another mid-season opening like their last lift. This one goes from the bottom of the lower mountain to the base of the upper, with a midstation to serve the lower mountain. Adds a few hundred feet of vert to their over all stats. The lower mountain was an excellent learning area back in the day.

And the name of the new lift is the Gatehouse Quad.
