Sounds like Vail is now going to build two new quads at Mt. Brighton, one to replace the Green and Blue lifts and another to replace Yellow. In addition to relocating Silver.

Eagle Point in Utah is moving their old platter lift over to the expert area this summer. They had this on the trail map a few years ago as a future lift, currently they use a cat to get people back up to the lift. Upon further reading it sounds like this will be at the top of the mountain, not the bottom where they had the future lift on the map. They're also removing the old Holly double that hasn't run in quite a while.

I know Im a bit late to the party. Alyeska Resort is replacing Chair 6 this summer.

Snow Valley (Running Springs, CA) has photos posted on their web site of a truck delivering a new chairlift. Does anyone have any information? The ski area says they'll make an announcement soon.

As of at least yesterday, Vail has installed all of the new lift towers for the Mountaintop Express. Based on the view from the camera, it will have combination assemblies at towers 5 and 6, where the original quad had a hold-down tower for tower 6. I also see the haul rope sitting on the ground next to tower 2.

I am sure Lift Dinosaur knows the LPOA product well those tower heads different in many details.

JSteigs is correct. They only tower heads I got up close with last year were at Vail for the Gondola, and it used a different cross arm design with the Leitner 550mm sheave trains.
The diagonal cut on the end of the cross arm and the smaller x-y bolt holes threw me until I did some research.

Looking at LPOA's Gallery of projects it looks like sometime last summer they switched to this design. Dino what is the reason behind or presumed advantage of this change?

Terminal parts for the Mountaintop Express have arrived. They were sitting next to the Wildwood Express on the Mid-Vail camera today.

More information is available regarding the lift project at Snow Valley. They are basically replacing (upgrading) parts of Chair 13 (YAN Triple) with new crossarms, sheaves and carriers. Leitner-Poma is the supplier. On Facebook the ski area said they hope the heavier carriers will allow them to run Chair 13 in higher winds than the YAN lift could handle. They are also hoping this upgrade goes well so they can establish a relationship with Leitner-Poma for future lift upgrades. It's interesting since Chair 13 is their newest chairlift.

Long range Snow Valley has indicated that they'd like to install a detachable quad chair. I would also like to see them get Chair 4 (Riblet Triple) working again.

Alpine Valley, Ohio is getting a relocated triple chairlift in addition to the quad that was previously announced. From somewhere in Utah.
