OK....This lift was at "The Homestead", located right on Lake Michigan near Glen Arbor, MI (Home of the Sleeping Bear Dunes). They have 3 of these lifts...all vault drives, Leitner Line equipment, featuring the not so sturdy looking but awesome orange fiberglass seat backs. Probably one of the most compact and quaint base areas out there.
I was told they have one tower there that is filled with concrete....

Did you happen to get to the "top" of the mountain? The view looking at Lake Michigan is really nice.

I have been, but not on my last trip. It was Labor Day and the joint was jammed to the max with cars...It is one of the 'greats' as far as unique ski views though.

In my defence defense, the carriers look like the old Dopp stuff, same with the reaction ring on the bullwheel, plus the only Borvig I've ever seen outside of photos was the Berthoud Pass lift.
What do you mean about the 'part Leitner' bit? Up until the late 80's Borvig bought grips, sheave trains and some gearboxes directly from Leitner.

Wow. I stand corrected. Or should I say 'sit' as I don't normally stand while using the computer.
