Marketing for you. Figure it out. Bonus points to where the image overlay came from.

I think it is either Buckaroo at Beaver Creek or Tahoe Zephyr at Northstar.

What image overlay? That looks like a regular picture of the Telluride gondola to me.

I didn't notice that it is a different cabin. But you are right, the others do not have he full length windows. I wonder if they put a new cabin on the line. The grip looks the same as the ones currently on that lift though.

Actually, that style of cabin is used on the gondola because it's handicap compliant (View photo below). One of these cabins is placed every eight or so cabins. Additionally, that photo was taken at night with several flash bulbs to create that effect (thanks to digital SLRs).

Sure but the picture still shows the Agamatic A108 grip...

It is also a different hanger. Skierdude is right, the pictured cabin isn't at Telluride.

The Telluride - Mountain Village gondola underwent a rather extensive rebuild in 2006-2008 that included new hangers and Agamatic A108 grips. It operates with a combination of Omega, Omega III & Omega III XL cabins.

Well then it could be genuine. It looks to me, though that the rope was overlaid in the picture. You can see the black rope and a silver outline of what might be an image overlay. Or it could just be frost on the rope. However, you can clearly see straight through the cabins windows to the valley on the other side, and if a flash was used, the window should be all black.

I agree about the haul rope, but really, the issue here isn't whether or not the image is an overlay or authentic; rather, who allowed for that ad to be printed in the first place.

The reason why the haul rope looks like it has frost on it is because it's a new haul rope and the flash bulbs were setup to the right of the camera so you wouldn't see the 'flash point' in the picture.

Does anyone remember when Big White ran ads with Lara's gondola flying over some crazy terrain?
