[trip report] Sierra@Tahoe 11.16.2003

KZ's Photo KZ 16 Nov 2003

Today was my first real powderday of the season B)

I had 7 inches of fresh, and boy was it good. I have a bunch of pictures of all the lifts and will post them tommarow, and i will be updating boardmonger with a new sierra review and pictures.

I also found that the puma triple chair had the sheave trains redone by doppelmayr, so i was upset i couldnt take pictures of the yan sheaves i like. More pictures of westbowl and the backside as they open

My family decided not to go to Pheonix for Thanksgiving; we're going to Tahoe! :w00t: I hope there is powder when we get up there. Too bad it is too early in the season to go far off trail.

You will be able to explore if it snows some more. I know squaw will be nice and open, as well as sugar bowl and alpine. If we get another foot or so by thanksgiving, the conditions will be really nice. I think im going up for thanksgiving day and the friday after. Ill probably go to squaw and either sugar bowl or northstar.

Pictures will be posted tonite

Here is west bowl, the doppelmary quad that replaced a yan quad. The lift uses the old yan towers except for a few
