do you have any pictures? I built one a few months back, but it has since been mostly taken apart. I do still have the drive terminal, but the motor and gearing have been taken off.

My friend and I have built a minituer ski resort in my back yard out of KNEX.
So far we have two lifts and two trams however there are many more to come.
(I'd take pictures but it is buried under snow but i'll get a couple.

I have already made plenty of fixed grip chair models, and rope tows out of KNEX, and I'm now about to test out a high- speed detachable quad that I built with the KNEX. It detaches, but doesn't have real detachable grips, kind of though. I used yan style chairs, and also can use it as a gondola, with the gondola cabins. I have spent 2-3 years trying to make a good HSQ model, even with yan designs. Too bad yan didn't!

At one point, I had built a tram out of an Erector set, but with Lego cabins. I wish I had taken photos of it. I currently have the control system built for a new one (it's nice to have access to a lift electric shop) but I no longer have anything to build the rest from :( I'm working on building the gearbox out of an eggbeater, though...

How did you do the K-Nex Chairlifts it took us a while till we figuered out how to make it work and even know our towers aren't the most realible

I used the totally round bundle connecting pieces, and put four grey long poeces around it skipping holes each time to make a realistic, reliablt tower. If you need to, add shorter beams in the other empty slots for extra height (Like a tower extension), then build crossarms W/ support beams, and use the wheels (W/ rubber removed) as sheaves.

I'd really like to see some of these pictures. I have a lot of knex sets from when i was younger and I would really like to build a chairlift myself. Actually, come to think about it, I already created a tram. I think I would like to create a detachable
.
thanks

Here are some pictures of CoSkiBum's models. Not lego or KNEX, but a small real model.

Yeah ours is nice because it is outside and we got some trail maps etc
It sure is nice to remind you of nice cool winter when we work on it on a blazing hot summers day.

I am new to the skilift.org forums, and I have built 9 ski lifts all out of K'nex including 2 pulse-gondolas an arial tram, a bi-cable gondola, a funitel, a fixed grip triple and quad, and a hi-speed quad wich has a turn station.(detachable grips still a work in progress) and a gondola that is 55 ft in length, it also has a turn station.
