Silver Mountain has a new trail map but AOL can't seem to find the domain www.silvermt.com.

The Canyons is out, nice new background by James Niehues for this year too

I've seen the new DV one in a brochure, no major changes except for updated markings for Sterling Express

Wow, There are a lot of new James Niehues maps this year. So far 49 Degrees North, Silver Mountain, The Canyons, Snowbird, Waterville Valley all have new maps painted by him. I can't believe that places like Vail and Northstar have switched from them to ugly computer maps.

The new 49 Degrees Trail Map has some issues, like how all the runs terminate 300 feet from the Sunrise Quad.

My home stomping ground, Mt. Sunapee, has posted their new trailmap for this year. Not much different from years past, except that the Upper Williamson trail was renamed "Stovepipe" in tribute to one of our ski patrollers for 40 years of service. (his nickname is Stovepipe)

I got a hard copy of the New Crystal Mountain trail map, with a few changes for 06-07:
Kemper's has been marked permanently closed
Iceberg Ridge has been renamed Upper Ferk's Run
Iceberg Gulch has been renamed Middle Ferk's Run
Lower Bull Run has been renamed Lower Ferk's Run
The North and South Back boundaries have been moved in
K2 Face is on the map again after being removed and closed the past 2 years.

Anyone know who Ferk's run is named after?

Yes- Steve Ferkovitch, ski patrol- but why the change? Also, why have the North and South Back boundaries moved? Last- why was K2 Face close the last couple years?

A bit- I don't recall the bowl at the top of the Canyon being called 'Gunner's Bowl' (although the ridge at the top of the bowl was called Gunner's Ridge) nor was the easy run below Mid 1 called 'Rowly Poly'. I don't actually remember it having a name at all. I also notice the Honkers side of chair 3 is now called chair 4, similar to how Stevens Pass calls one lift Southern Cross/Double Diamond even though it's physically the same lift.

In their Interactive Trail Map, Mt. Hood Meadows has the Hood River Express incorectly marked Cascade Express. The real Cascade Express is marked corectly though.
