Big Sky Montana $400 Million Expansion

SkiBachelor's Photo SkiBachelor 12 Dec 2003

Well it seems like Moonlight Basin, Montana's newest resort is going to get hammered to death by Big Sky in the next few years. Big Sky is planning an 1,800 acre expansion, which will include six new high speed lifts. I'm guessing they would probably replace the current Poma gondola with a new Doppelmayr CTEC one. But Boyne is poping in $400 million dollars within the next decade, most of it going towards the new base village.

Hey, don't get your hopes down Zack, Homewood will probably upgrade their lifts within the next 2 decades. :)

Actually, i think they might have some plans for the future. I forget where i saw it, but it was probably the report cards stuff, and they are "planning" on upgrading some to hs, and some other lifts.

NOw for lifts staying for another 20 years, thats dodge ridge (they are actually opening saturday!)
