What is the fastest chairlift (and not a gondola) ever rode ???

I can say that the fastest one I rode is called TGV @ Tremblant (A poma hsq)

2nd) Glacier express @ Lake Louise

3rd) Too hard to say

Well the fatest chair I rode that is capable of running 5.6 m/s is the Eagle Peak Accelerator at Willamette Pass. A Doppelmayr CTEC HSS. Although when I rode it, it was only going like 2.3 because it was turned into a gondola and they needed to load peoples bikes. But yea it flys the up hill from what I've seen. It's kind of hard to think of any fast lifts because they are all usually run at 5 m/s.

The fastest lift I've ridden is the Sunrise Express at Bachelor. I think it's capable of running 5.5, same as many lifts, but it's got the compact terminal at the top and it hurls you off the chair like no other. :P So it feels fast at least...

Cameron may have some of the Sunrise Express- I didn't have a camera with me that day. It's a '93 Doppelmayr with the UNI-G terminal.

Sounds like Harmony Express at Whistler, it throws you off at the top too. I think that one too is a shortened terminal if I am not mistaken.

A lot of the Pomas have that throw off effect I've noticed. I think they have slowed down the Sunrise Express at Bachelor for some reason, but yea I remember it doing that is the past years.

The new Top of the world at Lake Louise isn't very fast. The resort says that the chair travels at 5 meters/sec but I really don't think so

the fastest FG i've ridden is the Tranquilizer Chair @ Marmot. the chairs have to be held by the lifties so much that they swing for several towers.

The fastest FG chair I've rode is the Granite chair when it was still alive - it ran at 2.9 m/s or 580 fpm. The fastest FG lift I've rode is our t-bar at 3.0 m/s or 590 fpm. The fastest lift I've rode is the Big White gondola, and I don't know what it's speed was at!
