Yea, they are probably the only mountain that has REAL triple blacks. I think they are basically steep narrow chutes or something. Allan can correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea I think that's what it's called but basically that's just a drop off, so it is probably considered a cliff since it's pretty short.

wow, what degree pitch do these triple black runs have?

side note - what issue of SKIING magazine do they tell the top resortes and what their steepest runs(and degree slope) are?

I would think that Jackson's Corbett's Couloir and some pitches off Sunshine's Delerium Dive would be pushing triple-black in difficulty. But yeah, Red's got some extreme :censored:

Well I just got my October issue of skiing magazine and the ratings for the best resorts are in it. Red is #13 on the list.

Delerium Dive @ sunshine is officially Extreme terrain given a limited access Double Black rating
From top to bottom it's an average slope of 39 degrees

If you fall down that, you roll all the way to the bottom and then hit the thick looking trees below. Sounds like fun
Are they officially called triple blacks on the signs? (Or are there any signs at all?)

No signs, they used to be on the map though - they've since removed them.
